Can we quote you on that?

It’s quick and easy to get a gas and electricity network infrastructure quote from us

Here at Stark, we provide cost-effective solutions to deliver your dual fuel energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. We know how arduous and time-consuming obtaining multiple quotations can be, so we make the process as easy as possible for you.

How can I request a quote?

All you have to do is get in touch to provide us with some information about your project. Read on to find out what we need from you. We can give you either a firm or indicative/budget quote.

What information do we need to provide a firm quote?

A firm quote from Stark will always provide you with the most accurate and transparent estimate of costs and timescales for your project.

To quote for your gas project, we need to know:

  1. Site address and contact details.
  2. Scaled plan of the site, showing proposed location of gas meters.
  3. Gas loads required, in kW per gas meter. We can use defaults for houses and flats but commercial units will need a nominated gas load.
  4. Details of any non-typical plant (e.g. CHP or boosters) or elevated pressures required at the outlet of each meter.

For your electricity project, we need:

  1. A copy of the Electricity Network’s quotation (e.g. UKPN), showing the point of connection on the existing network for your site. Please also provide any contestable/non-contestable works, including a drawing.
  2. A drawing showing where the electricity meters should be, and whether they are internal or external.
  3. If a commercial or non-domestic building, the peak electric load in KVA.
  4. A schematic of the electric network of each plot.
  5. If you’re planning to export electricity to UKPN, the anticipated load in KVA and method of generation.
  6. If there are any air conditioning units, fuel or heat pumps, lifts, CHP, motors, refrigeration, welders, or other industrial machinery on site, we may request more information about these appliances.

Can I request an indicative/budget quote?

Of course – you might not have all the detail at an early stage. In which case, we can provide an indicative quote instead. All we need from you is:

  1. The Point of Connection (POC)
  2. Gas and/or electricity demand
  3. Meter location

Why do we need this information?

When it comes to construction projects, lapsed timescales and overrunning budgets are a common occurrence. So, we collect enough information at the quotation stage, to give an accurate and transparent estimate of the cost and duration, so there are no unwelcome surprises for you later down the line. This also makes it as simple as possible for you and avoids any ‘to-ing and fro-ing’ later on in the project.

When will I receive my quote?

Our quotation SLAs from the point we have all the information from you that we need are:

  1. Indicative quote – less than two weeks
  2. Firm quote – less than four weeks.

The four-week SLA for a firm quote assumes no additional network investigation is required.

If you need a price urgently, let us know. We’ll do everything we can to work within your timescale.
