Stark announce installation of free electric vehicle charge points
Stark, a leading provider of energy data and analytics services, has announced the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charge points at their offices. These charge points are available to use for free from October 1st to the end of 2020.
September 24th, 2020 Stark today announce installation of electric vehicle charge points at their offices in Horley. The charge points will be free to use starting October 1st and for the rest of 2020 for anyone with an electric vehicle.
With many organisations looking at their net zero targets, energy managers are now looking to reduce the UK’s largest source of emissions – vehicles.
The number of industrial and commercial (I&C) electric vehicle charging sockets estimated to reach 1-3 million by 2040 and the sale of new internal combustion engine (ICE) cars and vans banned from 2035. This is the perfect opportunity for organisations to look at how they can easily benefit from switching to electric vehicles and reduce their impact on climate change.
Converting fleets to electric vehicles will be a requirement for any organisation with net zero targets. If all 5.3 million fleet vehicles were to convert to electric, this could eliminate an estimated 30 million tonnes of CO2 and 425,000 tonnes of NO2 emissions, which is around 25% of all transport emissions.
“The installation of these charge points is really exciting and is part of showcasing our overall commitment to lead the way and be a trusted partner of organisations looking to exceed their net zero targets.
Stark are in the best position to help due to our seamless, cost-effective end-to-end electric vehicle charging and data service proposition, from the installation of the charge points to interrogating the EV data with our energy analytics platform, Stark ID.”
Stark is currently developing an an end-to-end electric vehicle charging and data service proposition that is scheduled for market launch in 2020.
