To undertake the efficient installation of electrical, instrumentation and telemetry systems, and to carry out surveys, whilst providing courteous service to customers.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Undertaking technical projects whilst optimising resources and costs.
  • Carry out regular health and safety checks to ensure safe working environments and the safety of others e.g. RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
  • Ensure necessary project materials are available, reporting deficiencies to Technical Projects Senior Engineer or Foreman.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients.
  • Ensure the safe keeping of issued equipment.
  • Follow an agreed code of conduct when on site and representing Stark.
  • Accurately capture and relay accurate technical information and documentation as needed.
  • Offer, seek and collate ideas for improvement in quality, throughput and efficiency.
  • Comply at all times with Industry standards and procedures


  • Ensure the safe keeping of issued equipment.
  • Promptly respond to internal enquiries and maintain frequent contact with Head Office.
  • Abide by customer’s and Stark’s health and safety and security procedures.
  • Participate in regular training/ learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all Stark policies, procedures and working practices including all health and safety requirements.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required.


Technical Skills, Knowledge and Certification:

  • Professional Qualifications:
    • NVQ Level 3 & AM2
    • 18th edition qualification
    • Testing and inspection (C&G 2391)
  • Must complete and maintain mandatory training including:
    • DBS certificate

    • Working at height
    • Confined spaces
    • Electrical safety

  • Knowledge of Stark products, services and operations.

  • Successfully complete full Stark induction and training programme and undertake refresher training as necessary.

Other essential requirements:

  • Must have the following:
    • reasonable level of physical fitness and manual dexterity to undertake regular manual handling;
    • full UK driving licence (held for 1 year minimum) and produce all driver documentation whenever required.
  • Must immediately report to line manager:
    • any health or medical conditions which could affect ability to drive and/or do the job
    • any driving accidents, points on driving licence, prosecutions or loss of driving licence
  • Be able to drive frequently, on long distances and travel out of region as necessary including occasional overnight stays.
  • Prepared to work in all weathers, and in sometimes difficult or dirty conditions.

Your performance and development in the role will be discussed with you in regular Personal Development Review (PDR) meetings and on a more in-depth basis annually. Your performance will be measured by:

  • assessment against competencies defined in this Job Profile
  • feedback obtained from line manager, colleagues, third parties and stakeholders (both internal and external) as appropriate.
