The TPI Relationship Manager will develop, promote and drive revenue for the company, through increasing customer satisfaction and careful management of Stark’s key accounts within the existing TPI customer base.

Business Development and Strategy:

  • Establish short and medium term goals to grow the ‘share of wallet’ of key TPIs, focusing on both existing (including HH DCDA/MOP, NHH MOP/DC) and newer services (including submetering, Gas MAM)
  • Provide account analysis and support, whilst developing and implementing strategies to drive both sales and the enhancement of relationships with key TPI customers
  • Responsible for own lead generation process and customer qualification
  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining a pipeline capable of delivering against the agreed sales and revenue targets
  • Prepare and deliver detailed commercial proposals to prospects, complete with clear business case and cost justification including ROI or IRR calculations, demonstrating a clear understanding of the TPIs’ and end customers’ requirements
  • Presenting and conducting meetings with TPIs (and clients, if required), to articulate the value proposition with the ability to address all questions in order to close the sale
  • Excellent sales abilities and client-facing skills at all levels of seniority
  • Promote a cheerful and productive work ethic within the team modelling Stark’s core values
  • Understand Stark’s overall business objectives and work to achieving these by maintaining high Sales standards
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of training materials, support documents and procedures
  • Work with Sales and Marketing management team to refine product propositions, sales, marketing and account strategy

Competencies:

  • Energy/Utility experience is essential
  • Knowledge of the TPI market is desirable
  • Knowledge of the gas market, MAMs etc is desirable
  • Business relationship management/sales experience is essential
  • Ability to demonstrate continued growth sales track record
  • Experience of working and building trusted relationships with TPIs and the ability to influence decision making
  • Understand and be able to calculate and clearly communicate various investment analysis appraisal techniques: ROI, IRR, NPV, etc
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of customers
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills to be able to analyse financial and project related information and then write a clear and concise proposal to present to the customer
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity, responsibility, initiative and enthusiasm
  • Flexible to work varied hours when necessary, to meet the demands of the job
  • Complete market analysis to identify good potential target TPIs, related opportunities, general market activity and competition

Minimum qualifications required:

  • GSCE (or equivalent) Grade A-C Maths and English
  • Good passes at A level or equivalent
  • A degree is desirable but not essential

Other requirements:

Travel required plus frequent visits to Horley office as and when required.
A full clean driving licence is essential for this role.
