Joanna Rogers is one of Stark Works’ dedicated Account Managers, acting as the main point of contact for our clients from the initial enquiry stage through to completion of their gas and electricity infrastructure projects. We sat down with Jo to get to know more about her career so far and what she enjoys most about her job.

What does your job involve?
I act as a main point of contact for key existing clients and new prospective clients who require gas and electric infrastructure quotations for both domestic and commercial developments. In my day-to-day role, I focus on building strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor and gathering essential feedback to ensure we cater to each client’s specific needs.
My key responsibilities in the Sales Team involve growing our pipeline, generating leads, and closing opportunities. However, I also work closely with our Estimating Team and Operations Team to ensure we are providing the best possible service to clients. My responsibility does not just end once an order is secured; I continue to be in contact with the client through to project completion.
What’s your background?
Prior to Stark Works (formally Squire Energy), I worked at a competing Independent Gas Transporter (IGT) for four years, where I was able to develop my knowledge of the gas industry. I joined Squire Energy in 2015 as a Project Manager for the Gas Siteworks Estimating Team. I was then promoted to Senior Project Manager in 2021, before moving to the Sales Team in December 2022 and becoming an Account Manager.
What appealed to you about the job and/or company?
I was drawn in by Squire’s close-knit family environment and strong values of honesty, transparency and diligence; Stark shares the same values, which is why the acquisition has worked so well.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Building relationships and speaking with clients is my favourite, and most rewarding, part of the job.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Going on holidays, walking and reading.
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Compassionate, friendly and reliable.
